The police tried to stop the boy, who then collided with a deer at high speed. A conservation hunter later found the deer in two pieces.
The chase continued for about a kilometre, after which the A-tractor finally stopped. The police discovered that neither the driver nor the two other passengers were wearing seat belts.
No one was injured.
The boy is charged with gross negligence in traffic. He admits negligence, but denies that it was gross.
