Columbus finished the NHL season 1–2 against Washington and, after a long and poor streak, did not make the playoffs.
Bowness was clear about his disappointment and said the situation in the team was obvious: the players didn't care.
"Just look at the stats: Three tackles and 23 turnovers. I don't know if I'll come back, but if I do, the culture will change," he told U.S. media.
