After doing his own research, Quinn Brown believed he could determine that the jersey Wilt Chamberlain wore during warm-ups for the 1972 NBA Finals was authentic.
He posted a picture of the jersey on social media and was then contacted by the auction house Sotheby's, which wanted to handle the auction.
On Monday, the jersey was sold for almost 900,000 kronor.
"I didn't think it was possible to find something like this," says Quinn Brown.
Wilt Chamberlain won the NBA twice and holds the record for the most points in a game, with 100 points.
