Jrue Holiday was Boston's top scorer with 26 points. Team-mate Jaylen Brown contributed 21 points, as did Derrick White and Jayson Tatum with 18 points each.
Holiday, who plays guard, credited Tatum with Boston's offensive play.
Dallas star Luka Doncic scored 32 points, 11 rebounds and 11 assists.
Boston now leads the final series, which is best of seven, 2–0. The next match is played in Dallas on the night before Thursday, UK time.
Boston has won a total of 17 NBA titles, the last time being 2008. Dallas has won the league once, in 2011.
