"I have arrived in Moscow", writes Dodik on X on Monday.
In late February, Dodik was sentenced to one year in prison in Bosnia and banned from holding political offices due to "separatist actions". Dodik has dismissed the verdict and refused to surrender to the authorities.
One of the charges concerns President Dodik's decision to ban federal police and judiciary from exercising their power in Republika Srpska, the Bosnian Serb entity within Bosnia-Herzegovina.
The prosecutor issued an international arrest warrant against Dodik on March 18. It did not prevent Dodik from first traveling to Serbia and then to Israel, where he participated in a conference on combating anti-Semitism.
In Moscow, Dodik has visited the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. "I always start my Moscow visits with this", he writes.
Then, Dodik praises the Russian President Vladimir Putin and his "restoration of Russia's greatness".
