Chadwick Boseman got his big breakthrough through his role as "Black Panther" in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The actor will be honored at a ceremony on November 20, where his widow Simone Ledward-Boseman will accept the award in his place.
“His powerful performances and lasting influence both on and off the screen continue to inspire people around the world,” said Ana Martinez, who is responsible for the Hollywood Star ceremonies.
Chadwick Boseman died in 2020 from complications of bowel cancer.
