Three Belgian football fans dressed as the movie character Borat. They were considered to be mocking Kazakhstan - and were fined.

Club Brugge made short work of Kairat Almaty from Kazakhstan in the men's Champions League (4–1).

The aftermath of the match, however, was something completely different.

According to the newspaper Het Laatste Nieuws, three Belgian fans were arrested during the match after dressing as the film character Borat - wearing so-called mankinis, a men's swimsuit.

The character from the satirical film of the same name is perceived in Kazakhstan as a mockery of the country and is therefore a sensitive subject. The film makes jokes about Kazakhstan throughout.

The Belgian fans were fined 35 euros, equivalent to 370 kronor, and were released shortly afterwards.
