In three periods, it was completely even and before the last quarter, Borås led by only two points, 46–44. But in the last quarter, the home team, and not least Hameir Wright, showed where the cabinet should stand. Until then, the American had been wavering in his three-point shooting, but when it mattered most, Wright scored a couple of crucial three-pointers.
Then it just flowed on for the home team, while Luleå lined up missed shot attempts.
Borås won the last period with a clear 24–12 and the match with 70–56. Hameir Wright was the giant of the plan with 21 points,
But in the final, the "impossible" Norrköping awaits. The Östgötans have taken four consecutive SM gold medals, the last two years after final wins against Borås. Norrköping also won the regular season, ahead of Borås and Luleå.
The first final match is played on Friday in Norrköping.
Borås' only SM gold came during the pandemic year 2020, when they were declared champions as league leaders after the season was ended prematurely.
