Car sales in China increased to 2.11 million in September, according to the country's industry organization for car manufacturers, CPCA. Compared to August, this is an increase of 10.6 percent and on an annual basis, the increase is 4.5 percent.
For chargeable cars – which, in addition to battery-powered electric cars, also include hybrids, for example – the increase was 50.9 percent on an annual basis to 1.12 million sold cars in September.
Car production in China in September amounted to 2.42 million cars, a decrease of 0.8 percent on an annual basis but up 11.9 percent compared to August.
Exports of chargeable cars in September increased by 19.3 percent on an annual basis to 105,000 units.
The statistics do not include minivans.
