Several Bonnier-owned newspapers were affected by technical problems on their websites late on Tuesday evening. The problem was noticed, among other things, on Expressen's, Sydsvenskan's and Finnish Hufvudstadsbladet's respective homepages, which were occasionally down.

"Our assessment now is that it's not about any attempt at external influence, but about a technical fault that we've identified", says Lina Hallmer, CTO at Bonnier News, in a comment to Aftonbladet.

By 1 am, most of the sites were functioning normally again.
