The service for family and invited guests was held at Swansea Minster Church at 1 p.m. Swedish time. It was broadcast live on the star's official website, while fans could follow it on large screens outside the church, writes the BBC.
A big focus was placed on Tyler's Welsh heritage and the organist played songs by Tom Jones, Shirley Bassey and Tyler herself. A male choir sang Tyler's big hit "Total Eclipse of the Heart" and when the coffin was lifted to be carried out at the end of the ceremony, the Tyler song "Making Love Out of Nothing at All" was played.
The cortege later went to nearby Skewen in Neath Port Talbot, where Tyler was born and raised, for a private family ceremony.
Tyler died in early July in a hospital in Portugal after a short illness. She was 75 years old.
