The national bomb squad has neutralized an object found at a cottage in a colony area in Malmö on Monday morning.
The initial assessment is that it was live, says the police's press spokesperson Lina Friberg.
At 2 pm, the police are still on site in the area.
Technicians will investigate the site and talk to people who may have seen something, says Lina Friberg.
The police have filed a report on attempted gross endangerment of the public, and one on violation of the law on handling flammable and explosive materials.
No one has been detained.
