Brazil's former president Jair Bolsonaro has been released from the hospital to return to prison. He left the hospital on Thursday, local time, after a week of treatment.
The 70-year-old underwent inguinal hernia surgery at a hospital in the capital Brasília. He was temporarily released from prison after experts determined the surgery was medically necessary.
Bolsonaro is serving a 27-year prison sentence for an attempted coup.
