Jair Bolsonaro has been banned from visits for one month for illegally posting a letter on social media through his son, Senator Flávio Bolsonaro. On Saturday, Brazil's Supreme Court ruled that the penalty for the violation is a one-month ban on visits.
In addition, Judge Alexandre de Moraes says that Bolsonaro will not be allowed any visits whose purposes are "political" or "election-related" until after this year's elections.
Argentine President Javier Milei wanted to visit Bolsonaro in connection with his participation in a party convention in São Paulo, but has now been denied the visit, AFP writes.
Right-wing radical Bolsonaro was sentenced last year to 27 years in prison for a coup attempt. For health reasons, he is serving his sentence under house arrest.
