Brazil's former president Jair Bolsonaro's lawyers are appealing his prison sentence, reports AFP.
The right-wing radical politician was recently sentenced to 27 years in prison for attempting to stage a coup after the election loss in 2022, when his supporters stormed the parliament and government buildings.
Bolsonaro's lawyers claim, among other things, that there were unclearness and contradictions in the verdict from Brazil's Supreme Court.
