Bolivia allows military to respond to protests

Bolivia's Congress has voted to allow President Rodrigo Paz to send in soldiers and declare a state of emergency to respond to the massive protests.

Both Bolivia's Senate and House of Representatives have now approved the proposal.

The protesters want Paz to leave office and have demanded wage increases, economic stability, and an end to the privatization of state-owned companies.
