The company says the forecast is that operating profit before depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) will be negatively affected by approximately SEK 400 million during the first quarter of this year at today's prices and conditions.
According to Boliden, the seismic activity has now subsided, but systems for ventilation, water, electricity and backfill paste have been damaged and need to be renovated over the next few weeks.
In the worst-affected part of the zinc and silver mine, production cannot resume this year.
Production is expected to begin in the second quarter - but at approximately 30 percent of normal capacity.
The mine has approximately 500 employees.
