Joel Sjöö and Alessandra Günthardt have mostly written songs for other artists and worked as producers. As the duo Genom Natten, they broke through last year with the single "I ett annat liv" and a self-titled album.
They are now nominated for three awards, including newcomer of the year, at this year's Manifest Gala, which will be held on March 25 at Nalen in Stockholm.
Boko Yout, the stage name of Paul Adamah, also has three nominations, including rock of the year for the album "Gusto".
Among the artists nominated for two awards are Svart Ridå, Knut, and Deki Alem.
The Manifest Gala is organized by Swedish Independent Music Producers.
