On December 3, a boil-water advisory was issued in Visby and the surrounding area after high levels of microorganisms were discovered. Later analysis also found what could be parasites that cause stomach illness, which led authorities to tighten the advisory. But now Visby residents no longer have to boil their water, since no further findings have been made and water purification measures have been improved.
