Kajsa Arwefjäll made her major debut earlier this year and finished tied for 41st at the Evian Championship. On Friday, she finished the round at two under par, 69 strokes, and is at par overall after two days, tied for 20th place.
Friday's result at Royal Lytham & St Annes means that Arwefjäll, representing Ljunghusen, passed the qualifying threshold and will be allowed to play on for the rest of the weekend.

Things went even worse for Linn Grant, who was the best Swede after the first day but will miss this weekend's play. Grant, who crashed out in last week's Scottish Open and missed the qualifying cut after going six over par two days in a row, also went six over on Friday and will miss the cut again, now in the British Open.
Going into Saturday's round, world number three Ryu Hae-Ran of South Korea leads at seven under par overall, one stroke ahead of hidden star Shiho Kuwaki of Japan, who is second.
