The aircraft manufacturer rose 8 percent.
The broad-based S&P 500 index rose 1.5 percent, the industrial-heavy Dow Jones was up 1.3 percent, while the tech-heavy Nasdaq composite index climbed 2.1 percent.
Among the winners were Facebook owner Meta, up 6 percent, semiconductor giant Nvidia, up 2.9 percent, and Microsoft, which rose 4.9 percent.
Amazon – which on Monday became the fifth company ever to reach a market capitalisation of $3 trillion – rose 4.6 percent.
At the close on Wall Street, North Sea oil (Brent) had fallen 4.7 percent to just under $84 a barrel. American WTI oil had fallen 5.1 percent to just over $80 a barrel.
