The trial concerns an Indian man who was one of the 157 people who died when a Boeing 737 Max belonging to Ethiopian Airlines crashed in March 2019.
The man's family will now receive $28.45 million after a jury verdict in the first civil case since the accident occurred.
Boeing has previously reached settlements with relatives of people who died in the accident.
After two fatal accidents with a total of 346 fatalities, the aircraft model was grounded for almost two years.
