On Monday, 3,200 employees within Boeing's defense operations in the USA go on strike. The union IAM is dissatisfied with, among other things, the salaries and working hours that the aircraft manufacturer offers its employees in its latest bid.
"Members of the IAM district 837 build the aircraft and defense systems that keep our country safe. They deserve nothing less than a contract that protects their families and recognizes their unmatched expertise," says union leader Sam Cicinelli in a comment.
In a statement, Boeing writes that they are disappointed that their latest bid has not been accepted by the union.
