A person has been found dead after a fire in an apartment in Gislaved municipality on Friday evening, according to the police.
"A person was found dead by the rescue service. The apartment has been cordoned off for technical investigation. The fire was not extensive and no major firefighting effort was required", the police write on their website.
An investigation into murder and arson has been initiated. This is being done, according to the police, to "be able to rule out that someone took the person's life", since there is currently no indication that a crime has been committed.
The alarm about the incident came in just before 10 pm on Friday.
