Chelsea confirms death of X.

Tambling scored 202 goals in 370 appearances for Chelsea between 1959 and 1970.

In 1966, the Englishman was responsible for five goals in a single match - a club record that still stands.

The only major title during his time at Chelsea came in 1965. He then scored the team's first goal in the League Cup final against Leicester.

Two years later, Tambling also found the net in the FA Cup final, but that time it wasn't enough as Chelsea fell 1-2 to Tottenham.

Tambling made three appearances for England.
