Bob Mackie was one of Hollywood's most famous costume designers and was known for his many years of collaborations with stars such as Cher, Carol Burnett, Tina Turner, Barbra Streisand, Diana Ross, Liza Minnelli, Ann-Margret and Bette Midler.
In a post on Mackie's
, his team wrote on Monday:
“It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Bob Mackie today. He lived his 87 years to the fullest, fulfilling his dream of working as a fashion and costume designer - the only thing he ever wanted to do. His genius and extraordinary creations will live on forever and continue to spread beauty in the world.”
