12.35 we received a call via 112 that a motorboat had driven at high speed onto the shore, says Tommy Wållberg, commanding officer at Rescue Centre Mitt, to TT.
The boat driver has been taken to hospital by ambulance. It is unclear how badly the person is injured.
He has driven into a wooden structure, some kind of walkway that you can walk on along the shoreline, says Wållberg.
It is about a nine-to-ten meter long motorboat. The rescue service has secured the boat so that it does not slide back down into the sea.
There are some damages to the superstructure. Below is difficult to say. It stands on rock and stone up on land.
The police tell TV4 News that a preliminary investigation into reckless endangerment in maritime traffic as well as maritime intoxication has been initiated.
