According to a BMW spokesperson, the recall will affect several hundred thousand cars, AFP writes.
A statement from the group states that 16 models produced between July 2020 and July 2022 may be covered by the measure:
“BMW AG recommends that after starting the engine - especially after starting via remote control - the vehicle should not be left unattended with the engine running.”
As recently as September, BMW recalled over 300,000 cars, and even then, fire risk was cited as the cause.
