Östersund's Linn Svahn did her best to challenge her national teammate Sundling on the final stretch in Idre Fjäll. But Sundling was no match for her - and Piteå defended their title from last year.
Instead, Svahn, who raced with Jenny Larsson, had to struggle to hold off Skellefteå's Elin Henriksson in the fight for silver.
Sundling won the Olympic gold medal in the sprint relay in Val di Fiemme together with Maja Dahlqvist.
She now has five Swedish Championship gold medals this season.
We had good skis, were in good shape and were allowed to ski as we wanted. And then there was sunshine. That makes it a little easier, said Jonna Sundling on Expressen's broadcast.
The 30-kilometer race for women and the 50-kilometer race for men conclude the Swedish Championships on Sunday.
