It has been stormy in IFK Göteborg lately.
The team barely managed to avoid qualifying for the top league, then both chairman Richard Berkling and technical director Ola Larsson left, and it was recently clear that star player Paulos Abraham would not stay with the club.
But now comes a welcome message for the supporters.
Mjällby's successful midfielder, Imam Jagne, is ready for "Blåvitt". The 21-year-old has signed a contract that extends until 2028.
I've had some offers to consider, but I've always felt that IFK Göteborg is where I want to be, says Jagne, who made his debut in the U21 national team in June, to the club's website.
Jagne grew up in Göteborg and has previously played for Häcken, but in 2020 he took the step to England and tested his luck in Premier League club Everton, before returning home to Sweden and Mjällby again.
Now he is thus ready for a comeback in Göteborg.
I long to run out on Gamla Ullevi myself and have the support behind me. It really feels like coming home.
Jagne scored three goals and four assists in 26 appearances during the past season.
