Emil Salomonsson, 35, is ending his football career. He himself announces it on Instagram.
In total, it was eight international matches and eleven whole seasons with IFK Göteborg for the defender.
Already at the end of last year, it was clear that Salomonsson had done his part in Blåvitt when the contract expired at the turn of the year.
"It's hard to summarize what IFK Göteborg means to me in words, but I hope and believe that I have shown it through the years", he said then.
Emil Salomonsson came to IFK Göteborg from Halmstad in 2011. After an adventure abroad in Japan, he returned to Blåvitt for three more seasons. Only eight players throughout history have played more Allsvenskan matches for the club.
