The World Cup began with a sprint in Locarno, Switzerland, and Hanna Lundberg impressed when she took the second World Cup victory of her career.
"I'm overwhelmed. I was so nervous before the race and just thought about taking it one step at a time and being in the moment," Lundberg said, according to SVT.
The margin of victory over Norwegian Pia Young Vik was 20 seconds.
Karolin Ohlsson was back after missing last season due to heel surgery and parental leave. She made several costly mistakes and finished only in 45th place.
"Ugh, it was a really fucking bad race today," she told SVT.
