There were only two minutes left in regular time when Örgryte captain Daniel Paulson tied the game at 2-2 in the two-part derby.

But in the 90th minute, Felix Eriksson scored his first Allsvenskan goal and secured all three points for IFK Göteborg. It was the team's first win of the year and it didn't come until the eighth round. The three-pointer lifted Blåvitt from last place to 14th.

"Of course you feel the pressure. It's not a small club you play for, and there are many people who care about how the team is doing," says Eriksson about the wait for the first victory.

"But I've been around this team for a few years now and we've had tough times before, so we haven't stressed ourselves out too much and have believed in what we're doing."

“A little corona vibes”

However, there was no great goal celebration from the over 17,000 spectators. Instead, the stands sat empty after the scandalous scenes that interrupted the match on Monday night.

"It's a bit of a 'corona vibe,'" IFK coach Stefan Billborn said on TV4 before kickoff.

In the first half of the derby, on Monday evening, it was IFK Göteborg who took command, with goals from August Erlingmark and Benjamin Brantlind before William Hofvander reduced the deficit for Örgryte.

Two late goals

When play resumed less than a day later, the game continued with a similar pattern. After a few half-chances in the remainder of the first half, both Örgryte and IFK Göteborg each had some really sharp chances in the second half.

It was 39:10 on the match clock and 2–1 to IFK Göteborg when the derby resumed at 3 p.m.

But it was only with a few minutes left that both goals came.

"It was obviously a special match. I wasn't able to finish playing the next day. It was just about trying to get the energy and adrenaline up for today's match," says Eriksson.
