A new Blondie album will be released during the last quarter of this year, writes NME.
It is the guitarist Chris Stein who reveals the news in a post on X with a photo of Debbie Harry in the studio together with the Grammy-winning producer John Congleton.
In April, Blondie's drummer Clem Burke, 70, passed away in the aftermath of cancer. Burke was recruited by Harry and Stein shortly after Blondie was formed in 1975.
In response to a question from a fan about whether Burke plays on the album, Stein replied: "he played the whole thing".
The eleventh and latest studio album from the American rock band was "Pollinator" which came in 2017.
