Blizzcon 2026 featured several major Blizzard announcements. “World of Warcraft: Forever,” a new permanent version of the classic “WoW,” will be released on November 4. The game is based on the original Azeroth but will have new zones, more than 1,000 quests, new classes, races and raids.
“Diablo V” was announced for spring 2029 and takes place about 100 years after “Diablo IV” in a world where Diablo has already triumphed.
“Starcraft” is also returning, albeit not until 2030 - but then as an action game instead of a strategy game.
