Hoover has written the book "It Ends with Us", which the film with the same name is based on. She writes that Lively is an honest and kind person.
"You've only been supportive and patient since the day we met. Thanks for being exactly who you are. Never change", the author writes on Instagram in a story where she tags Lively.
Slander Campaign
There has been a storm surrounding the film, as director and lead actor Justin Baldoni was first praised, but is now accused of having sexually harassed Blake Lively during filming – and then, together with various PR people, launching a slander campaign against Lively.
The New York Times has investigated the case and in a video shows text messages that are said to have been sent between Baldoni's PR person and the PR person hired to slander Lively, where they discuss how well the slander has worked.
"It's actually sad because it shows how people really want to hate on women", writes the PR person, who previously is said to have been hired by Johnny Depp for the Amber Heard trial.
More Sex Scenes
In documents from the filming, it emerges that Justin Baldoni and the film's producer Jamey Heath are said to have commented on Lively's body, tried to get her to do more sex scenes than what was in the contract, and shown nude pictures of other women.
The Hollywood Reporter writes that Justin Baldoni has now had his contract with the talent agency WME terminated in the wake of the allegations.
Baldoni's lawyer Bryan Freedman stated after Blake Lively filed a lawsuit on Friday that the actress is out to "repair her bad reputation". He called the allegations false and outrageous, intended to harm Baldoni.
