The announcement comes in connection with the visit of US President Donald Trump to the country. Earlier during Trump's visit, other investments that American companies plan to make in the UK have been presented, as well as a planned investment from the British pharmaceutical company GSK in the USA of 30 billion dollars over the next five years.
"These investments are proof of the UK's economic strength and a strong signal that our country is open, ambitious and ready to lead", says UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer in a statement.
