Stina Blackstenius was involved in most of the action when Arsenal played Bayern Munich away – in one half. Then she was substituted. Then the home team turned 0-2 into 3-2. An incredible comeback from us, says Bayern Munich's Pernille Harder.

It was a Champions League match with two faces. In the first half, visiting Arsenal poured on the pressure and led 2–0, with gusto, after just over 20 minutes of play.

Right-back Emily Fox headed in 1–0 in the fifth minute when Bayern Munich goalkeeper Maria Grohs let in a rebound from Beth Mead's shot.

Collapsed

Mariona Caldentey made it 2–0 in the 23rd minute with a precise long-range shot after being fed the ball by a mis-turned Stina Blackstenius. The Swedish international striker started for Arsenal and was involved in much of the first 45 minutes of the match.

Just before the 2-0 goal, Blackstenius hit the crossbar when she met Alessia Russo's pass on a strike. And a little later in the half, she had another great opportunity in front of goal, but her attempt went just wide.

After barely an hour of play, Blackstenius was replaced by Norwegian Frida Maanum. From the bench, she watched her team completely collapse.

18-year-old talent Alara Sehitler put Bayern 1-2 up in the 67th minute. Danish veteran striker Pernille Harder made it 2-2 with a cannon shot into the left crossbar in the 80th.

15,000 in the stands

And with just a few minutes left to play, Bayern Munich's captain, Icelandic centre-back Glódís Perla Viggósdóttir, dashed forward and headed in a 3-2 win to complete the impressive turnaround in front of around 15,000 spectators at the Allianz Arena.

It feels fantastic, an incredible comeback from us, says Pernille Harder to Disney+.

The three points were very important for us. And it's absolutely fantastic to play here at the Allianz Arena in front of all our fantastic fans.

Magdalena Eriksson had to settle for a place on Bayern's bench for the evening, but still won the Swedish match against national team colleague Blackstenius.
