Stina Blackstenius, who shot the Champions League title to Arsenal at the weekend, is ill and was absent from Tuesday's training with the national football team.

Stina has symptoms of illness and has therefore not joined the team here in Italy, says national team doctor Houman Ebrahimi, reports Swedish media on site.

The three Arsenal players in the squad – in addition to Blackstenius, also Lina Hurtig and Amanda Ilestedt – were also absent from Monday's training as they were given permission to celebrate Saturday's victory in the Champions League final against Barcelona. There, Blackstenius became the big match hero with the only goal of the match, but now she remains in London for the time being.

We will follow the development with the hope that Stina can come here as soon as possible, says Ebrahimi.

Sweden meets Italy in Parma on Friday and then concludes the Nations League group play at home against Denmark on Tuesday.
