He said this in connection with a meeting of the International Confederation of Societies of Authors and Composers, which he chairs.
"AI will not replace humans. We will elevate it to something new, although it is true that many jobs will be lost," Ulvaeus told the Spanish news agency EFE.
However, copyright must be respected, Ulvaeus said, and there is still no country that can be held up as a model for that.
"They are afraid to regulate because they also want technology companies to invest in their countries," he said.
