The loss to arch-rivals Modo away on Saturday was followed by a 4–5 defeat at home against Oskarshamn.
The new year of 2026 has not been a good one for SHL hopeful Björklöven - at least not yet.
The Umeå team conceded four straight goals at home against Oskarshamn after leading 2–1 following the first period.
"We're letting a lot of chances slip by and becoming hesitant. It feels like we're more afraid of losing than playing to win, which we've been strong at before," says Bogren.
Two late goals from the home team didn't matter - Björklöven still lost.
Hermann Träff and Axel Björnkvist both scored two goals for Oskarshamn, who are in sixth place.
It is the first time this season that Björklöven has lost two games in a row.
The team still leads the series by a wide margin, but the ten-point lead was reduced to seven when second-placed Kalmar defeated Vimmerby away 5–2.
