Björklöven has not played in the SHL since the 2000-01 season.
Now the "Lions" have the chance again, as in 2022 and 2021, when the team lost the all-Swedish hockey final to HV71 and Timrå, respectively.
Södertälje received two match penalties, Leevi Teissala for a slewfoot (leg sweep) and Andrew Vanderbeck for a tackle to the head of team captain Axel Ottosson.
Fredrik Forsberg gave Björklöven the lead on the power play. Södertälje overcame their numerical disadvantage after the first penalty, but during Vanderbeck's penalty in the third period, Daniel Brodin made it 2–0 and Axel Ottosson 3–0.
It remains to be seen who Björklöven's final opponent will be. The semi-final match between Modo and BIK Karlskoga is tied at 2–2.
