Born in 1986 in Denmark and raised in a large collective outside Århus, he now lives in Malmö. Last year, he made his debut with the 1970s-scented picture book "Ålens nyckel" about Emma who lives in a house with many people but longs for peace and quiet. His second book, "Biografen vid världens ände", was released this spring and has, according to the reviewer from Bibliotekstjänst, "potential to become a classic".
The jury for the Lennart Hellsing scholarship highlights his images of detailed rooms, "often worn and populated" but with "a warm, cozy feeling".
He also receives praise for his trust in the reader and his ability to easily move between the everyday and the existential.
The Hellsing scholarship is awarded on June 5, on Lennart Hellsing's birthday.
