Tottenham Hotspur player Yves Bissouma has been suspended for one match by the football club and will not participate in the team's season premiere on Monday.

The reason is that the midfielder was seen using laughing gas in a video that Bissouma filmed and posted on the social media platform Snapchat, which has since been spread.

The door is open for him and hopefully we can help him realize that his decisions affect more than just himself, says Tottenham's coach Ange Postecoglou.

Bissouma has apologized for his actions in a statement.

"I understand how serious this is and the health risks involved, and I take my responsibility as a football player and role model very seriously".

The team also features Swedes Dejan Kulusevski and Lucas Bergvall.

Tottenham will begin the 2024-2025 Premier League season away against Leicester.
