The facility raises ducks to be released for hunting, so it is not a traditional food bird farm.
"Infectious disease control work is underway at the facility. There will be culling; we will discuss during the day to what extent," said Katharina Gielen, head of infectious disease control at the Swedish Board of Agriculture, to SVT Helsingborg.
Further sampling will determine how many animals are involved.
The Swedish Board of Agriculture has decided to establish a protection zone around the facility.
