The EU is supporting Jordan with a financing and investment package of three billion euros – approximately 34 billion Swedish kronor – for the years 2025-27.
The money is intended to contribute to stability regarding the situation in Syria and the conflict between Israelis and Palestinians.
"Jordan's leadership in supporting Syria's transformation is an example of its significant role in shaping the region's future", says EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen in a press release following a meeting with King Abdullah II of Jordan in Brussels on Wednesday.
