Microsoft founder Bill Gates has taken responsibility and apologized for his connections to the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, reports the Wall Street Journal.
"It was a huge mistake to spend time with Epstein," Gates said during a meeting with employees at his foundation on Tuesday, according to the newspaper.
Gates also denied that he participated in or witnessed any of Epstein's criminal acts.
