Katarina Pierre has been director of the museum in Umeå for 16 years and has introduced many internationally significant artists to a Swedish or Nordic audience.
Katarina Pierre has worked at Bildmuseet, an art gallery for international contemporary art at Umeå University, since 1995. It is not yet clear who will take over the role of artistic director and manager. Bildmuseet has advertised the position.
