This is shown by a comparison made by the financial service Zmarta. Even greater price increases are seen at the major festivals, such as Sweden Rock or Way Out West, whose festival passes cost almost 70 percent more.

Ticket prices for the largest arena concerts have "in several cases" more than doubled since 2016. At the same time, film and television services have increased prices almost at the same rate as live music, according to Zmarta.

For streamed music, however, the price increase is more modest, as is the case for cinema and theatre tickets.

"What was previously seen as fine culture, like the Dramaten, is more accessible than it has been in a long time," says Ola Söderlind, household economist at Zmarta/uScore.
