The duo regularly raises the climate issue in their pieces and the installation "The freeze" – a protective blanket over Kebnekaise's south peak to slow down the thawing – and the upcoming project Wasteland climate action park in Skellefteå has received great attention.
Art for the Globe was established by doctor and art collector Johan Wallin in 2023 and is one of Sweden's largest cultural prizes. Annually, at least 500,000 kronor is awarded to a person or organization that contributes to broadening the understanding of the Earth's vulnerable situation through culture's unique ability to evoke emotions.
